In the fall of 2017 I recorded 5 Christmas arrangements for my first Christmas project. I hope to fill that out to 10-12 tracks in a full-length Christmas project this year. This was the beginning of that venture, recorded in the waning days of 2021 between Christmas and New Years Day. In considering a song I might weave together with Silent Night, this beautiful folk melody Still, Still, Still came to mind, and turns out it is also of Austrian origin in the 19th century. I thought they wove nicely together and it was fun putting a slightly different flavor on Silent Night and adding a few stable animal sounds to create the ambient atmosphere of what it could've been like when Christ was born.
