From the recording Joining God
In January of 2016, my Father, Phil Brooks, emailed me a joyous overflow of heartfelt sentiments from a special time with the Lord. He asked if he thought these expressions could be turned into a song...about 6 months later, the Lord blessed me with the melody and some additional crafting of these expressions and the song, 'Yes Lord!' was born. Titled by my Dad, this song will live on as a legacy of his heartfelt cry of devotion to His Lord. The song begins painting a musical picture of a sunset with a beautiful oboe line played by my wife, Carrie. My sisters, Carmen and Kami sing with me on this song.
