This melody came to me around the 1 year anniversary of Mom's transition to Heaven, which was 50 days after Dad's. I felt a sense of newness and some kind of 'relief' on January 14, knowing that the first trip around the calendar without them was now complete. Grief goes on, but it has begun to change in this new year. Grief is less intense and greater awareness of and intentionality of continuing the legacy has begun.
