Embracing the Seasons of Life
Life is full of different seasons and whether we like it or not, full of change! It’s been said, one of the only things in life that remains the same, is change. That is absolutely TRUE! After spending the last 25 years or so, focused primarily on developing and employing my musical and leadership abilities in the church, I am embracing a new season of opportunity to potentially share what God has given me on a broader scale.
I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home, surrounded by ministry, music and God’s Word, and all the challenges of the ups and downs that come from simply being human. It has been my calling and joy to minister through music in the church in various capacities for over 30 years.
I began writing songs back in 1989 when I was in college, as a means to express prayers to the Lord and wrestle through the particular season of growth I found myself in. In a sense, my songs have become my testimony and a snapshot of my spiritual journey. In all honesty, I have been hesitant to share them in many ways over the years. Whether it was fear of failure, my own pride, or wrong timing, or whatever excuse I could come up with, I hesitated to fully release what the Lord had given me.
I believe that through the development of His Harmonies Music, and the release of my very first fully-produced recording project, Joining God, that the Lord is calling me to release what He’s been working on in me, over the years, and that I am finally ‘ready’ to let Him have His way and give Him all the glory for whatever He wants to accomplish through it, because it’s all His…His Harmonies, not mine!
I’ve been married to my precious wife, Carrie, for 25 years, and bless her, she has stood beside this emotionally driven musician for all these years! She’s amazing, and I am so grateful for her! Our children are Katie Beth (20), who recently married James Webb on October 5, 2019, and we are thrilled, Mason (18), Lyndee (16) and our new addition, Andreas (18) from Latvia. We all live in Deer Park, WA, and love our surroundings and our communities that we get to be a part of here.
Beginning in January 2019, I transitioned out of full-time vocational ministry, and now have the privilege of serving primarily the senior population through Final Expense, Medicare and Retirement Protection insurance services. My developing young agency is called the Love Protects Agency.
